Things to Consider After Egg Collection (Opu)

You have just undergone egg retrieval (Opu). After the procedure, there may be pain in the groin reminiscent of menstrual pain and a small amount of vaginal spotting. In case of complaints of bleeding more than menstrual period, fever higher than 38 degrees, pain and fainting, please apply to our hospital or to a nearby hospital if you are far away.

General fatigue and tendency to sleep may be due to the medications given during the egg collection process, and these medications are eliminated from the body in approximately 24 hours. You can have solid/liquid food 2 hours after egg collection. If you have nausea, stay away from heavy and spicy foods. Spend the first day with light meals until you feel better with tea, biscuits or similar foods.

Detailed information about your eggs and embryos will be given by our embryologist and doctor. Continue taking your prescribed medications regularly. There is no harm in going to the sea or the pool during this period. You can sunbathe, but not for a long time.

Continue sexual abstinence. If you need to use medications other than these, be sure to inform us.
